Statement from Senator Kelly Townsend

"I am grateful to Senate President Karen Fann for appointing me as the Chair of the Government Committee. I intend to work collaboratively with all members to get sound election reform enacted. Election integrity and voter confidence is of the utmost importance which can be achieved through common sense legislation. The issues that come before the Government Committee have great impact on our communities and citizens of this state and I look forward to starting work through stakeholder engagement and outreach to government entities at all levels."

"The legislative session is soon approaching, and I will begin working on a variety of issues, including election reform, as well as policies related to the role of government in the lives of Arizonans."
