AZ Senate Republican Leadership Team Applauds Ruling to Block Biden's Attempt at Ending Title 42
PHOENIX, ARIZONA— A major victory for not only Arizona, but for national security in general, after a federal judge today temporarily blocked the Biden Administration's disastrous attempt of ending Title 42 USC 265. This move is the direct result of a lawsuit filed by two dozen states, led in part by Arizona.
Title 42 USC 265 currently allows for rapid expulsion of migrants at the border and stops them from entering. This policy was put into place to protect the health of our citizens, but once again, President Biden recklessly disregarded the safety and well-being of our citizens by calling for its termination.
Had Title 42 been lifted as planned next Monday, we anticipated illegal immigration in Arizona would double. Thousands of migrants right now are waiting south of the border to cross into the U.S. illegally, many of whom are murderous criminals involved in human trafficking and drug smuggling.
The incompetence of President Biden has sent a message to dangerous cartels that the United States welcomes them with open arms. Lawmakers in Arizona are continuing to demand the federal government stop fighting against the citizens of the United States and enact a strict border policy that will give law enforcement the tools they need to combat this crisis and protect our communities.
